There are over 230 steps in making a pair of Dayton boots, a labour intensive process that only 3% of the world’s bootmakers still use today. Dayton’s are built using one of two types of construction, and unlike most others in the industry - neither includes cardboard or gluing. Using either Goodyear welted construction (with a leather welt and waxed linen thread to seal the stitch holes) or fully nailed construction, both Dayton manufacturing methods allow for the resoling of the boot if and when the need arises.
Dayton only uses the finest quality materials available in its boots.
